BIODIGESTER SYSTEM SOAKAWAY The system performs this function through these 3 steps: Rapid Separation of solid waste from wastewater. Aerobic Decomposition of the solid waste Bio-filtration of the wastewater. Upon entry of the solid waste and wastewater (flush water) into the small constructed tank, the solid waste rapidly separates from the wastewater. Once that happens, the solid waste will be aerobically decomposed. What that means is, living organisms, which use oxygen, feed on the organic matter. Then, the last stage of the process is the bio-filtration of the wastewater (flush water). The wastewater is filtered through layers of activated charcoal, activated chippings. The wastewater is filtered to remove germs and odour whereby make it colourless, odourless and free free from germs, so it won't contaminate your groundwater.
